These days Street Fighter is all that the cool kids seem to be playing and since I've got no intention of owning a new console there's no reason to go back to Tekken in preparation for 7. Back in the PS2 Tekken days I was a pretty reasonable player - Got very good with Kazuya and passable with a few others. My gaming resolution this year was to get good at fighting games again. Not really my thang but remember having fun with it. Not played Battlefront since I had my PS2 hooked up. Things like that which are fairly graphic but add to the gaming depth.Īnywayyy, game's chalked for like, Christmas, and my lifestyle doesn't really suit games that can't be paused, so I should prob let it go. Properly dark, but makes you very keen to avoid it happening!). Making their FPS system work in the 3rd-person too is fine, but I'm guessing there'll be no return for Battlefield's (truly gruesome, but very effective) backstab mechanic (whereby your enemy stares into your eyes as his does the deed. More worried that they'll dumb down the mechanics a bit to fit with the family-friendly aegis. I'm sure seeing Darth sweeping all before him, only to be contested by Yoda would be cool and that in itself, but maybe ones who strengthen (or camouflage?) units around them could work, or ranged / shielding specialists. Would be cool if they could balance in some support/defensive style heroes too. Hopefully they'll stick with their 'points for support play' ethos, and it won't just be a killstreak boon for the uber-killers. Will be intriguing to see what Dice do with it. I do kinda like the idea of the hero boon.

As part of my ridiculous pre-emptive stalking of Starfieldwars, I'm considering taking a punt on the previous Battlefront.
